One of the world’s oldest iGaming firms has debuted an all-new coin-merging bonus mechanic on three of its bestselling slots.
Isle of Man-based Microgaming launched its Link&Merge system on Wednesday across three simultaneous slot releases, including a title from the Almighty Zeus Wilds series.

The iGaming firm rolled out Almighty Zeus Wilds Link&Merge, Lucky Twins Wilds Link & Merge, and 123 Soccer Link&Merge on the same day.
A spokesperson for the firm said the triple launch gave the Link&Merge mechanic “a much bigger stage from day one” to demonstrate to players what the system can bring to Microgaming slots.
All in the coins
The coin-merge bonus mechanic, created around Hold & Spin-style gameplay, activates on all three high/very high volatility games when five or more adjacent Coin symbols land. The debut system then links the coins together and merges them into a single, higher-value symbol.
This merge then activates either a Jackpot, Multiply or Spread outcome, with the space created by the Coin consolidation allowing further Coin symbols to land, potentially triggering further merges within the same round.

Despite the differences, the new trio all share the same structure of cluster wins, Wild Meter progression, Free Spins and a Multiplier Trail, with the three slots all integrating the new mechanic bonus in their own way.
