The bet amount was just $5, and the odds of hitting that jackpot were about 1/50,000,000. It was the fist-ever Megabucks jackpot to hit at Resorts World Las Vegas, which is situated on the Las Vegas Strip. The unidentified winner was supposedly in town visiting family.
Many social media commenters praised the unknown gambler for their win. Others replied with jealousy, such as @ThatAngelKid who asked simply: “Why is it never me?” Another user called @lee946 said he would like to know if the player tipped, a controversial issue among Vegas’s gamblers.
This month has seen a number of jackpots won on the Las Vegas Strip. A slot player won $1.1m in a jackpot at the Venetian last week.
